Summer Training Application Interviews are now completed, with 92 applications having been generated. The priority list for course loading is now being generated and due to the high level of demand for training positions, the following criteria shall be taken into consideration in creating the priority list:
1) The length of the cadet’s service (excludes Leaves of Absence),
2) Whether the cadet has completed a previous summer training course/scholarship,
3) Whether the cadet participated in last year’s Annual Ceremonial Review,
4) The age of the cadet,
5) The cadet’s attendance at Mandatory Training Parades and Activities from September 2009 to December 2009, and from January 2010 to February 9, 2010,
6) The cadet’s participation in Optional Training, Activities, and Citizenship activities from September 2009 to December 2009, and from January 2010 to February 9, 2010.
7) Whether the cadet has been Returned to Unit for Disciplinary or Voluntary Reasons,
8) The Commanding Officer’s recommendation, and
9) In the event of tie breaking being required:
a. a cadet’s participation in Mandatory Training Parades and activities from previous training years will be considered,
b. a cadet’s participation in Optional Training, Activities, and Citizenship activities from previous training years will be considered.
Cadets and Parent’s shall be notified if the Cadets have been placed on the within the Squadron's Quota Priority List in order to accommodate planning of summer activities. Be reminded that even if a cadet does not place within the quota on the priority list, cadets may still be selected for training up to 2 days into the conduct of a course.
